Pets, a brief history.

Thought I'd post some pictures of some of the pets that I and my family have had.

For some reason I can't find any pictures of my two rats, Ozzy and Corky, that I had when I was still living with my Mum and Dad, so we'll start off with the dog we had. This is Wolfie, happily sitting at the feet of my mate Nick.

Before our LB was born in 2007 Nic and I had a lovely dog called Womble, this is him on his first encounter with fresh snow.

We used to have a rug that was made from woven strips of material, one day there were shreds of the rug all over the hall, stairs and landing, and sitting in our bedroom doorway was this sad and sorrowful looking little dog, with his head slightly lowered and big pleading eyes.

Unfortunately we had to give Womble back to the rescue center when Nic got pregnant because he got jealous we we just sat next to each other on the sofa and caused a fuss, we didn't want to take the chance that when the baby came it would cause problems with the dog that could have ended badly. After the LB was born and was walking we decided to get a rescue cat, which somehow ended up being two cats named by the LB, Pip and Nor. This is what they were like when we first got them.

And this is what the were like a few years later.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to give up Pip and Nor. They were taken by two very lovely friends of ours and are still doing well. Once we had sorted our situation out and were settled again in Rainham we decided that, as we now live in a flat in a large block, we couldn't have Pip and Nor back because they are outdoor cats and that isn't easy from the third floor, plus they had become settled in their new home themselves. So we got another rescue cat, again named by the LB, George. George is a very odd cat. He seems to have fallen in love with me and gets jealous if Nic and I cuddle, or even just talk to each other and ignore him. He sits on my lap, he pines for me if I go out, likes to sleep with me and insists on sitting with me when I go to the toilet. This is him sitting in the sink next to the toilet a few days ago.

That's all for the pet pictures, next time no cats I promise :-)

  2. This is very strange and I am a little freaked out by it.
